Michele Rogalski
facilitates TROPOS
Success System’s Americas
Rising Stars program. She
is the perfect person for this job having devoted her life to helping our
youth. Soon after receiving her
Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Michele
volunteered as a Children’s Advocate at Turning Point, McHenry
County’s Domestic Violence Agency.
Michele accepted that full-time position, counseling children,
facilitating groups that promoted support and social skills, advocating
for children at meetings with other agencies, and conducting intakes,
assessments, and needs analyses for children and families.
She also conducted community education on domestic violence and
supported the crisis line. While
there, Michele was recognized in the Northwest Herald’s feature
“People Who Make a Difference.” She
also completed her Drug and Alcohol Certification course work at Elgin
Community College and her internship at The Advantage Group, a youth drug
and alcohol rehabilitation center in Cary. Michele then earned her
Masters of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee,
concentrating in School Social Work.
She interned at Bethany Christian Services where she developed and
delivered a self-esteem program and delivered abstinence programs to
teens. She also interned in the Milwaukee Public School System where
she provided guidance and counseling to inner city youth, resolved school
behavior problems, and facilitated the “Teens Who Care” leadership
group. After graduation, Michele joined the Special
Education District of McHenry County (SEDOM) as a Social Worker.
She teaches social skills, counsels, performs social developmental
studies, and advocates for children with physical, mental, and behavioral
problems. She also help
parents with parenting issues and delivers educational programs to
teachers and parents. Michele
has worked at schools in Crystal Lake, Cary, Prairie Grove, and Ringwood. Michele is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. |
